From the moment Heather Kendrick became more involved in the planning of her Kindergarten birthday party than most other children her age her parents knew that she would be a handful. Whether it was analyzing the guest list and making sure her 5 year old friends were “mingling” or coordinating the balloons with the plates, Heather had found her passion. Approved by her parents or not (Hopefully they don’t read this!), Heather continued her party throwing ways in high school often being asked to plan friend’s birthday parties and girl’s night out. Believing that a good party is just as much about the group of people as the décor she was never one to disappoint her party guests.

A devoted fan of Sex and the City and avid reader of Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Cosmopolitan Heather’s decision to major in Mass Communication with a minor in marketing was a natural one. An upcoming senior at Miami University and proud member of Delta Zeta Sorority, Heather has become involved in a number of activities on campus and met a variety of people. Exhausted of the classroom thing and eager to gain real world experience Heather brought up possible internship fields with her 9 housemates during the weekly ritual of catching up on the latest episode of The Real Housewives series. Never one to turn down a good time it soon became clear that event planning was the industry where Heather would intern.

The moment Heather walked into her first interview with Eventurous she knew it was the perfect place to spend her summer. The interview lasted over an hour and the time seemed to fly by with ease. With the internship under her belt she was sure to gain the necessary experience to excel in the industry. We loved Heather’s company so much we begged her to stay with us a while. Heather now manages our social media and web presence as well and lends a hand for large event set-up. We are so excited to have her stay!
